When you first set up your MNCWTA Training Portal, you created a UMN guest account. Your UMN guest account is where you will update your name or email address. Your Training Portal will be updated afterward.


Important Notes

  • Do not create a new guest account: Creating a new guest account will cause you to lose access to the training portal.
  • Lost access: If you can't access your guest account or former email, submit a ticket on our Contact Us page or call the UMN IT Help Desk at 612-301-4357 (available 24/7). Be sure to mention this is regarding a MN Child Welfare Training Academy guest account.
  • Forgot password: If you forgot your password, try resetting your password.  
  • Update other portal information: Refer to the Updating Training Portal Profile Information help article. 

Instructions to Update Your Information

  1. Go to my-account.umn.edu and log in with the email and password you used previously before your email updated.  
  2. Select the "Modify Guest Account" option under "My Account" on the left side. Here, you can change your name, email address, and password if needed.

  3. Make your changes and select "Submit" to save.
  4. Go to the Contact Us page to submit a ticket.
  5. In the Type dropdown, select “Updated Email.” 
  6. Let us know you’ve updated your guest account. Include your old and new email addresses and any other relevant details.
  7. Select the "Submit" button. 

The Training Academy tech support team will update your Training Portal profile, including your name, email, and agency. If you have multiple accounts, we’ll merge them for you.


Note: You should receive an auto response notifying you that we received your ticket. If you do not receive this confirmation, follow the steps in the Help Desk: No Response article.
