IV-E BSW/MSW students need to connect with their University's IV-E Coordinators in the Training Portal. Students can have their University IV-E Coordinator and a County/Tribal Supervisor connected to their portal profiles.

Connect with your Coordinator in the Training Portal

IMPORTANT: UMN and UMD students cannot use their @umn.edu/@d.umn.edu email to request a Profile. The Portal cannot connect to any training records taken under that account and you will experience technical issues. Please use an email that is not your student email or an alternate email tied to your student account.

Step 1: Request a Portal Profile if you don't have one already

Step 2: Confirm with your coordinator that you created a Portal Profile

  • Notify your coordinator that your Portal Profile has been created.
  • Provide the email address you used for your Portal & guest account (make sure to give them the exact spelling).

Step 3: Accept the invitation from your coordinator

  • You will receive an email with instructions for accepting the invitation.Screenshot of email in inbox
  • You will also see an alert in your Portal.Screenshot of alert icon in the portal
  • Select the alert notification icon (red circle with exclamation point).
  • Select the "Accept Invitation" link.
  • You will see your coordinator listed at the top of your dashboard.

Step 4: Enroll in assigned courses from your coordinator

  • Trainings assigned by your coordinator will show up in your dashboard under the "My Assigned Trainings" section.
  • Click the "Enroll" button to complete your enrollment.

Add your supervisor

  • If you also have a supervisor, or when you get a supervisor, please reach out to the MNCWTA Portal tech team through the Contact Us page to add them to your portal.

Keep this Portal Profile throughout your career
