There are two ways to create a Training Portal Profile

1. Invitation from Your Supervisor – Follow the instructions in the invitation email to create your portal profile.

2. Profile Request (Employees and Supervisors) – Request a portal profile through mnchildwelfaretraining.com.


Option 1: Invitation from Your Supervisor 


Step 1: Accept the Invitation


Your supervisor may send you an email invitation to create your portal profile. Follow the instructions in the email to create a portal profile.


Step 2: Log In


Once you’ve completed Step 1, go to mnchildwelfaretraining.com and select "Log In" under "Existing Profile" to sign into your Training Portal profile.  




Option 2: Profile Request (Employees and Supervisors)


Step 1: Submit a Profile Request

  1. Go to mnchildwelfaretraining.com and select "Login/Register" Screenshot of arrow pointing to login/register button on the MNCWTA webpage 
  2. Select "New Profile Request Form" under "New Profile" Screenshot of arrow pointing to new profile request form button on the MNCWTA webpage
  3.  Fill out all required fields and submit the form. Use your work email address so we can verify your information and approve your request.

Step 2: Wait for Approval 


After submitting your request, Training Academy staff will review it. If approved, you’ll receive an email with further instructions on how to complete your profile setup. 


Step 3: Log In and Complete Setup

  1. Log in to the portal using your UMN guest account email and password. 
  2. Finalize your portal information. 
  3. Take the portal tour. 
  4. IMPORTANT: Complete step 6 of the tour to grant permission to Canvas.
